R-E-S-P-E-C-T

courtesy of google.com

Is of the easiest thing to do to someone
The only thing you could do for someone not of you
The only one wishes to have from someone else,
even if not of related by blood nor spiritual

Is of the lessons you learned a a child
The one thing that parents and teachers speaks of
One you should always do for people not your age,
even people younger than your age

Is of what writers do to each insights
The one thing they needed since the time of silence
The one they demand all throughout even through damnation
even on days of joy and gladness

Is one of the thing society lack as of today
The one thing that only a few have nowadays
The one that was left questioned in everyone's mind,
where and how will it gain its peak

Is of one thing I would like to know where,
the one thing I want to know from everyone else
The one that all must expect from everyone,
to think that one came from a reputable school and family

Where is your respect to someone?
Of a friend, of someone far from your age?
Of someone with authority?
Of a priest? A supreme moderator?

Did you respect the one next to you?
Of that stranger you never knew not once?
Of that person you just encountered in a brink of seconds?
Of whatever sexuality of personality he/she has?

When was the last you disrespected someone sacred?
Especially of God's commandments?
Of relics that is sacred to people of Catholic faith?
Of the transcendental being you always ask for anything?

and, when was the last time you respected the poet?
The poet who wrote this,
Of the writings he does whenever his heart tells him to,
and of the time he respected your side but of his?

PLEASE LANG!

Tis,
from the YEE,
to the HAW!!!!

sa pinas nasanay tayo na instant dapat ang respect.. respect is given not earned.. pero dito the other way around.. respect is earned not given..

great post! something we could all learn from!

I agree, respect is a quality lacking in today's society... and it is something you can't buy over the counter. Sabi nga ng mga comments sa taas, you have to work hard to earned it.

@Albert Einstein...thanks you for liking it! hehe thanks also for following me in twitter, and yeha I'll follow you do not wouuureeeehhh :))

@Kiko...hai tama ka dyan! cguro kaya hindi marunong rumespeto ang ibang tao, ay dhel sa kadahilanang hindi kayang respetuhin ang sarili :)

This is a really nice poem at agree ako dito.. :) By default, I give respect to everyone. Actually kahit sa mga hindi marunong rumespeto saken, I still try my best to respect them para wala akong guilt.
