Mommy, Mama

"Mommy," the boy cried.

He and his dad we're left alone. His mother died of cancer, but she have died in peace.

"Daddy, what's going to happen to mommy?"

"She'll be with our Father." He went down on his knees, held his son's face.

"Don't be sad, mommy doesn't want to see you crying, remember? She won't be happy."

"Okay," the boy stopped crying.

His dad went on to settle the accounts in the hospital, and went to a funeral house to avail of their services.
They brought her there, and went to church and waited for her arrival.

24 hours have passed and she arrived at the chapel. She was in a white coffin, dressed in her favorite pink gown. The gown which she wore during their wedding. The family came to her, cried, and let those tears flow. The boy and his dad were there also, crying theire hearts out. The kid couldn't stop crying, but he remembered what his dad said.

Moments later, everyone took their sit and talked to the other guests.

The boy sat beside his daddy. He stared at his mother's coffin. He then looked at the crucifix, and said.

"Papa, please take care of my mommy, because I love her very much. And thank you, for my mommy, because she loves me, very much. And please tell her not to be mad at me, because I cried awhile ago, and mommy hates it when she sees me crying. I Love you papa."

Minutes passed, the boy saw a lady in white standing behind her mother's coffin. The lady was so beautiful, he saw her gentle face and stared at her for a long time. The lady looked at him, and smiled back. Her smile was so beautiful, a smile so peaceful, and so pure.

"Mama," he said.

The boy's Godfather came in, holding a pink rosary. He was called and was told to get a scissor for him. He went to his dad to ask for a scissor, he got nothing, but saw one on the table where the food are located. He took it, and gave it his Godfather.

He went to the coffin, opened it, and held the rosary and the scissor. He was about to cut it.

The boy quickly went to his godfather, and stopped him from whatever he is doing.

"Don't do it!" he shouted. Everyone looked at them and wondered what was the commotion all about.

"What are you doing kid? I'm going to cut this rosary for your mom so she could bring it to heaven."

"Nonsense! There's no reason to cut the rosary for her to go to heaven! Papa will bring her there!"

"Take him out of here," he was referring to the dad.

"If you're going to cut this rosary, then cut my head also!" the boy shouted.

"Please, just do what he says, just stop this commotion," his Dad exclaimed.

"Fine," his godfather said, and gave the rosary to the boy.

The boy went to her mom, and placed the rosary on her hand. It didn't fall.

When they went home, the boy slept beside his dad. He was sound asleep, suddenly, he felt a warm presence on his forehead. He felt a kiss landed on his skin, then heard a voice saying,

"Thank you, I promise to pray to Papa for your mommy, so that she could be in heaven."

"Mama," he said.

Days passed and her mom is being put to the ground. Everyone cried, the boy couldn't stop himself from crying. His godfather told him not to cry on the coffin. He said that her mom won't be able to go to heaven if tears of sorrow were to wet it.

Again, the boy disagreed and said, "Nonsense! Take off my eyes if Papa will not let mommy to be in heaven!"

And finally, his mom was laid underneath the ground.

Years have passed, the boy married and had his own family. His dad eventually died when he got older. As for him, he reached 94, and was already bedridden. He became weaker and weaker as days passed. His family, wife, children and grandchildren were already crying.

He said, "Stop crying, I will not be happy if I see you crying."

And finally, his time has arrived.

And as his life was about to end, as he was about to breathe his last breath, he heard a voice saying.

"Little boy, come now, mommy and daddy are waiting for you. Papa is excited to see you as well."

"Mama," he murmured, then died in peace.
